Letterpress Book

I took a letterpress quickfire course at Montana State. This is the final outcome of the 4 week class. Each student contributed one spread of their making. The theme was “I would tell you… but I can’t”. Each page was completely hand set by an individual in the class, combining the spreads into a hard cover book. The books were and crafted by the students in the class, experimenting with the book binding process as well.
For my spread, I chose to create a list of things I wish I could tell my grandmother; a sort of life update. The process of printmaking is unique. It was super interesting to learn how setting type works. The steps are tedious, but well worth the effort.
